You need to make a quadsuit duct tape dummy of yourself add the padding wherever you feel you need it and make a ducttape pattern by seran wrapping the dummy and covering the whole surface of the seran wrapped dummy in ducttape. Draw on the seams for the pattern on the tape and cut it out. Once that's done, trace the pieces out on the fur fabric, cut out and sew. There are a few more small details to it but I'm sure there is a good tutorial out there on making ducttape dummies for quadsuits and making body patterns. One big mistake when applying anny tape is wrapping the tape around. You want to rip off small pieces (6-12 in long) and applying them one by one. This applies for the dummy and the pattern.

Yes and no. You cab make it so that you look out of the eyes but then that would mean having little or no neck extension and in a quad suit it would look very odd

How much do you think it would be to just order a pair of jointed quadsuit stilts, if possible? or where I could find someone that would make a pair for me? I want to make a quadsuit for myself, but I don't want to mess up the stilts to where they are blocky and unreal. I would be willing to buy one, but I don't have the money. Thank you.

i can make you a pair of articulated stilts for $100. non-articulated stilts are $50 if you want the paws and padding added its an extra $20. also when you do the pawpads for the stilts i highly recomend silicone or ruber. i can add a rubber sheet on the base of the foot for no extra charge but if you want silicone pawpads you can either get them from monoyasha (dream vision creations) for $43 and install them yourself or i can get them for you from her and i can install them for you for the same cost as the pawpads.

if you want them furred its can be between an extra $40-$70 depending on the design of the stilts

Beautiful! I love the digitigrade legs and that big 'ole fluffy tail.

I have a random question for you... I want to get in to making quadsuits. Would making the rear paws be just like feetpaws for an upright suit, or are they a little different?

Yes and no. You technically can but it won't have a very natural look since most quad suits have/should have but padding to make the body look longer and more animal like. Most fur suits bodysuits have the same length torso as a human and would not work in my opinion

(couldn't find google-eyed emoticon to convey my emotions, so I opted for the two above :/)

you need to make a ducttape dummy and glue the padding onto the dummy the way you want it to look (keep in mnd that you have to make the padding a little bit smaller than you want it to look like if you are using thick fur because the fur makes it look fater)
then you wrap the whole thing in plastic when finished with the padding and cover it neatly in ducktape and mark your seams to make a pattern and cut them out and place them on the fabric to cut out your patterns

Ah, okay, I was always wondering why I saw people gluing the padding to the dummy. How do you use the padding later if you glue it to the dummy though? Are people able to pull it back off without ripping or ruining it?
Also, after the pattern for the body is done, do people put on the padding and then the fur over it, or is there a way to attach the padding to the suit so one can just slip it on in one go?
