Critiques
Firstly, the pose. The fox pup is so damn cute like this, in this "self protective" pose, I really want to hug it. And the big eye is so... I dunno, makes the character looking even more cute.
Secondly, the colors and fur. You did very well with the fur, making it more fluffy on the tail and neck. And you managed to make the blue paint really looking like paint, so it has not the same "texture" than a fur. The wooden of the brush is nicely done.
The only thing I'd like to point out though, is maybe add more "white" on the body, at least on the tail which looks pretty dark compared to the rest of the fox. But well, it's just my opinion, the drawing is still great.
Oh! And I love the paper you used! And the picture reminds me a bit of the Okami game. And I love the markings on the fox and the blue "fire". "Born with a talent" fits perfectly for this picture, really. Great job!
